Preservation of your privacy as a member is important to us and we are committed to letting you know how we use your personal information and to making only responsible use of your data.

The PCSG and the appointed Secretariat will collect personal information from you when you enquire about our activities, register as a member and subscribe to our newsletter and information services. This may include your name, title, email address, physical address, telephone numbers, job title and GMC number if applicable. We may also ask for some additional, non-personal information. Where you log in as a member our website will track your browsing on our site. We use this information only to help measure the relevance and popularity of our content.
2. Our use of this information
Your personal information will only be used to process your requests, to provide you with our services, to provide or administer activities relating to our services and to provide you with information relating to our services and events. Your personal information will not be sold or disclosed to third parties without your permission unless we are required to do so by law.

We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information you give us. Though we cannot guarantee the security of the Internet, this website has security measures in place to protect the information you provide us.
We do not use secure server software (SSL) where you choose to join the society or subscribe to our email service, as you are not required to input any credit card details. Communications in connection with all services may be sent by e-mail. For ease of use and compatibility communications will not be sent in an encrypted form unless you require it and provide the certification to enable us to communicate with you in that way. E-mail, unless encrypted, is not a fully secure means of communication. Whilst we endeavour to keep our systems and communications protected against viruses and other harmful effects we cannot bear responsibility for all communications being virus-free.

If cookies are used they will only be used to assist the purposes set out in this privacy policy, but cookies will not be used if we do not consider them to be necessary.
