Anton Emmanuel, a consultant gastroenterologist at University College Hospital London, talks to me about making the diagnosis of IBS.  Anton has a specialist interest in functional diseases of the gut and is a Professor of neuro-gastroenterology at UCH.

IBS is a common condition, and it is important for primary care clinicians to have a structured approach to the diagnosis of this condition.  In this episode, Anton discusses the causes of IBS, different subtypes, and we explore some of the challenges around making a positive diagnosis of this condition.  Anton shares his pearls of wisdom about questions to include in the history, and how he describes the condition to his patients.

A great episode with lots of useful nuggets of information that can enhance your learning around IBS.
